Art Predator MOM OF YEAR! Was it the Prom Ride? Or the Poetry?

May 5, 2009

download Prom Ride photo by Jenessa NyeI hate to brag but I just had to share this video sent to me by Moms Rising which names me the 2009 Mother of the Year!

Was it my poetry? Like this one–on being a mom…a poem?

No, it must be the First Friday ArtRides. Even President Obama sends his congratulations– and promises to bring his family on the next ride, the Summer Solstice SantaCon June 5!I wonder if Michelle Obama has a sleeveless Mrs. Claus dress to wear for the occasion?

Anyway, check out this video and see for yourself:

If you want to nominate someone to be Mom of the year, check this message out from Moms Rising: For Mother’s Day this Sunday, you can actually nominate as many mothers as you’d like, and get this, they all will win!

I want to nominate the three awesome moms who dressed up and brought their kids out on the Prom Ride: Harmonie (pretty in pink with her daughter Lucy and the 9 month old babe in the burley), Jenessa (who took the photo and styled her beau Jason in silver and daughter Olive who’s quick there to doff her helmet), Claudia who towed her daughter in a burley (and Elisa just had a cast removed off a broken arm–wow!)! Prom Ride by Jenessa Nye

How can I do that?  Well, MomsRising has created a way for me and you to send one or more moms of your choosing a really funny, personalized video of a faux news report about them winning “Mother of the Year.”  Each mom you send it to will have her very own name embedded right in the video showing her as the winner. So you’ll make her laugh, and it’s a great way to honor your friends. Check it out!

Send your favorite mothers this video so that they can see themselves being congratulated by President Obama, celebrated by Hollywood stars and praised by addownload-4oring fans across the country. When you see the video, and after you’ve stopped laughing, check it out again in case you missed the crawl of wording under the newscast.  We couldn’t help but sneak  in a little messaging about how mothers aren’t being treated fairly.

We’re sure you know lots of mothers who deserve this award.  Customize the Mother of the Year video now and send it to you mom and to all your mom friends for Mothers Day:

I’m glad you won this – because I just saw where some unworthy guy won the “World’s Best Job” as caretaker of that tropical island. Arty – I really thought you had this one in the bag.
